The institute
Operational excellence, taught properly.
Averon Institute builds online certification programs with the rigor of a good business school and the accessibility of the open web. No campuses, no cohorts, no shortcuts — serious material, honest exams, and credentials employers can verify in seconds.
Why we exist
Too many certificates. Too little teaching.
Search for a Six Sigma certification and you’ll find hundreds of sites happy to sell you one. Pay the fee, click through some slides, download a PDF. No real curriculum, no real exam, no way for an employer to check any of it. The certificate mill is one of the internet’s quietest disappointments.
We think that’s a waste — because the discipline underneath is genuinely valuable. Process improvement has transformed organizations and built careers for the people who practice it well. It deserves teaching that takes it seriously, and credentials that mean something when they’re checked.
So we built the institute we wanted to find: programs written by practitioners, assessed by proctored exams, and backed by credential IDs anyone can verify on our public verification page. Rigorous where it matters. Accessible everywhere else — self-paced, fully online, one transparent price.
How we build programs
Four principles behind every program.
Whenever we design a course, write an exam question, or price a certification, these are the tests it has to pass.
Practitioner-built
Every program is written and reviewed by our instructors — people who have led improvement projects inside real operations, not just read about them.
Project-based
You learn the tools by using them. Green and Black Belt run on full simulated projects, so the method becomes a habit long before exam day.
Honest assessment
Certification means passing a timed, proctored exam at 70% or better. A credential that cannot be failed cannot be trusted — so ours can be.
Lifetime updates
The discipline evolves, and so do our materials. Enroll once and every future revision of your program is yours — access never expires.
Where we’re going
Six Sigma is our first program family. Not our last.
We started with Six Sigma because it’s where rigor pays off most visibly — a discipline employers ask for by name, taught badly almost everywhere.
As the institute grows, the same standard will extend to more of the management disciplines that deserve it. Every future program family will be built the same way: by practitioners, around projects, with honest exams and lifetime updates.
