Questions
Yellow Belt questions, answered.
How is Yellow Belt different from White Belt?
White Belt is a fast orientation — the vocabulary, the history, the map. Yellow Belt is a working toolkit: process mapping, Pareto analysis, fishbone diagrams and data collection, taught deeply enough to use on a real project the same week.
Do I need White Belt first?
No. Yellow Belt opens with an essentials module that covers everything White Belt does, then moves into the tools. Start here if you know you’ll be working on or around improvement projects.
Does Yellow Belt count toward Green Belt?
It’s excellent preparation — the tools and DMAIC fluency carry straight over. Green Belt revisits the foundations briefly, then goes much deeper into statistics and project leadership.
