1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service form the agreement between you and Averon Institute (“we”, “us”) that applies whenever you browse this site, purchase a program, take a course, or sit an exam with us. By creating an account or completing a purchase, you accept these terms.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
2. The Service
Averon Institute provides self-paced online courses, proctored online certification exams, and digital credentials — currently across our first program family, Six Sigma. Everything happens online: there are no physical classrooms, printed materials or in-person requirements.
Each program is a one-time purchase that includes the course, the certification exam with one free retake, your certificate and LinkedIn credential, and lifetime access to the materials, including future updates.
3. Your Account
You need an account to study and to sit exams. You agree to provide accurate information when you register and to keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
Accounts are personal. Because certification attests that a specific person passed a specific exam, your account may not be shared with or transferred to anyone else.
4. Purchases & Pricing
All prices are shown in US dollars at checkout. Programs are one-time payments — there are no subscriptions, renewal fees or hidden charges. The price you pay is the price shown when you complete your order.
We may change listed prices from time to time. Price changes never affect purchases you have already made.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which includes a 30-day money-back guarantee.
5. License to Course Materials
When you purchase a program, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the course materials for your own learning. The materials remain our intellectual property.
You may not copy, share, resell, sublicense, publish or distribute course materials, exam content or your account access. The downloadable templates are the one partial exception: you’re welcome to use and adapt them in your own work — that’s what they’re for — but not to redistribute them as templates.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service. That includes attempting to circumvent security or exam proctoring, scraping or bulk-downloading content, sharing exam questions or answers, impersonating another person, interfering with other students’ use of the service, or using the service for anything unlawful.
7. Certificates & Revocation
Certificates are issued when you pass the relevant certification exam with a score of 70% or higher. Each certificate carries a unique credential ID that anyone can check on our public verification page.
A credential is only worth something if it’s earned. If we determine that an exam was taken dishonestly — impersonation, unauthorized assistance, use of prohibited materials, or sharing exam content — we may revoke the resulting certificate and mark its credential ID as invalid. For serious or repeated misconduct we may also close the account.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it accurate, current and online, but we don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
A certification demonstrates that you passed a rigorous exam — it does not guarantee any particular job, promotion, salary or business outcome, and we make no promises about how any employer will weigh it.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Averon Institute will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is material, we’ll let you know by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
